WHO WE ARE

WE R IRAN is a non-profit, "Think Tank" founded by a group of activist technocrats from the Iranian -american diaspora based in Silicon Valley, Northern California.

We are engineers, entrepreneurs, academics, policy thinkers, and community leaders who believe in the fundamental right of the Iranian people to live in freedom, dignity, and democracy.

Rooted in the values of liberty, secular governance, and human rights, we work to support Iran's peaceful transition toward a secular democracy. In this nation, religion and state are separate, the rule of law prevails, and citizens enjoy equal rights regardless of gender, ethnicity, belief, or political view.

We are inspired by the historic Shir o Khorshid (Lion & Sun) movement, a cultural symbol of Iran’s national identity, sovereignty, and unity. We stand in solidarity with the suppressed and silenced people of Iran. We amplify their voices, advocate for democratic principles, and mobilize global expertise to help prepare for a post-authoritarian future.

From Silicon Valley, we leverage technology, policy research, global networks, and entrepreneurial innovation to:

  • Promote democratic transition strategies.
  • Support civil society and human rights advocacy.
  • Develop economic and institutional rebuilding frameworks.
  • Build bridges between the Iranian diaspora and the international community.

We believe that a free and democratic Iran will unlock one of the world’s most talented, educated, and resilient populations. Our mission is to prepare that future — today.
